Tax Reports

Direct answer

Flow Crypto's dashboard can summarise recorded account activity for a selected New Zealand tax year and export the data as CSV.

The report uses FIFO assumptions and is informational only, so reconcile it with activity outside Flow Crypto and obtain tax advice for your circumstances.

What the report shows, permalink

The tax page shows recorded gains, losses, net gain or loss, referral income, assessable income and disposal count for the selected period. It can also identify disposals that cannot be fully matched to recorded acquisition lots.

The downloadable CSV is useful for review and record keeping. It is not a filed return and does not submit information to Inland Revenue on your behalf.

What to reconcile, permalink

  • Crypto bought, sold or swapped through other services.
  • Transfers between your own wallets and any missing cost-basis records.
  • Mining, staking, airdrops, gifts, payments or other receipts not recorded by Flow Crypto.
  • Unmatched disposal warnings and any imported or manually maintained records.
  • The tax year and personal tax treatment that apply to you.
