Quote Expiry and Repricing

Last updated

Direct answer

A crypto quote is time-sensitive and can expire before a bank payment or crypto deposit is confirmed.

When that happens, Flow Crypto may apply a current rate, ask you to accept a new quote, cancel the order or refund an eligible NZD payment where lawful and practicable.

Why quotes expire, permalink

Crypto prices, foreign-exchange rates, liquidity and network costs can move while funds are in transit. An indicative amount shown when the order is created is therefore not a guarantee that remains open indefinitely.

The order screen records the relevant status and any updated pricing information. Do not rely on a screenshot of an older quote after the live order has changed.

Late bank payment, permalink

If NZD arrives after the payment window, the order may need operational review before any trade is executed. The outcome depends on whether the payment can be matched and processed safely at that time.

Do not create a replacement order for the same payment unless support tells you to. One payment cannot safely fund two orders.

Late sell or swap deposit, permalink

A sell or swap deposit that is detected after expiry may be repriced or held for review. Confirm the live amount, asset, address, network and memo before broadcasting the transfer.

Important: Blockchain transfers are generally irreversible. An expired quote is not a reason to redirect the deposit to a different address without a new instruction from the product flow.
