SOL with NZD
Buy Solana in New Zealand.
Buy Solana with NZD and receive native SOL in your own Solana wallet. Start with the receiving address, then follow your Flow order from payment to delivery.

SOL is the native coin of Solana
Solana is a blockchain used for token transfers and applications. SOL is its native coin: the network uses SOL to pay for transactions. Buying SOL gives you the coin itself, rather than another token that happens to run on Solana.
That distinction matters when preparing a wallet. A wallet may list SOL, USDC and many other Solana tokens together, but they are separate assets. Select SOL when creating your Flow buy order.
Use a Solana receiving address
Flow’s SOL buying route uses Solana Network. Open the receive screen for SOL in a wallet that supports Solana mainnet and copy the receiving address. An Ethereum address beginning with 0x is not the receiving address for this route.
Compare the complete pasted address with your wallet before confirming. If you use a hardware wallet, check the address on the device as well. Keep your recovery phrase private; receiving SOL does not require sharing it with Flow.
What happens once SOL arrives?
Your wallet holds the delivered SOL. If you later transfer it or use a Solana application, that activity has its own network requirements. Keep enough SOL available for the transactions you intend to make, using the estimate shown by your wallet.
A fast blockchain does not remove the earlier bank-payment and order checks. Use Flow’s order activity to follow the purchase, then check the transaction and balance on the Solana network. SOL’s NZD price can change significantly.

Practical example
From an NZD order to native SOL
An illustrative walkthrough. Your order displays the current amount, quote and available networks.
- Open your wallet’s SOL receive screen and confirm it is using Solana mainnet. Copy the address for an account you control.
- In Flow, select Buy, Solana and Solana Network. Enter your NZD amount and check the SOL quantity in the current quote before confirming the receiving details.
- Follow the payment instructions. When delivery is recorded, view SOL on the same Solana account. If the wallet is displaying a different network or account, switch to the receiving account before assuming the transfer is missing.
Questions about buying Solana
Do I need a whole SOL?
No. You enter an NZD amount and the quote can include a fraction of SOL. The current order minimum and asset or network minimum still apply.
Will buying SOL also buy other Solana tokens?
No. A SOL order delivers SOL. USDC on Solana and other tokens are different assets, even if the same wallet can display them.
